how to guide

A combustion air fan can make wood stoves perform better by improving the air flow controlling combustion process inside the stove.

When wood is burned, it requires a certain amount of oxygen to fully combust and release heat. If the stove doesn't receive enough oxygen, the wood may not burn efficiently, leading to incomplete combustion and the release of pollutants like carbon monoxide and particulate matter.

A combustion air fan can provide a steady flow of air to the stove, which helps to regulate the combustion process and ensure that the wood burns more completely. This leads to a hotter fire, more efficient use of the wood, and a reduction in pollutants.

Overall, a combustion air fan can improve the performance of a wood stove by improving combustion efficiency, reducing pollutants, and reducing the risk of chimney fires.

We recommend a small flow of air out the chimney year round. It helps prevent the odor of the wood stove within the home. Mom knows.

The Fan Kit includes: Fan, voltage controller, air tube

The Fan Kit does not include an adapter to the wood stove, since these are unique for each stove and must be manufactured individually. The adapter is included in the purchasing price, but must be requested with the make and model of the wood stove about the chimney. (For more info contact us under: smokelesschimney@aol.com)

To Install the Fan:

  1. Simply connect the fan to the stoves air inlet via the custom adapter

  2. Connect the Fan to a 12V power source. (Any Batteries, Power Outlet, …)

  3. All the air for the wood stove is now provided by the fan. This will now control the heat release rate and flames.
